Here’s Noel and Nathanael’s Downtown Calgary wedding, they were married at the Crescent Heights Baptist Church and had their reception at the Coast Plaza Hotel in Calgary. Here is a little bit more about them and their wedding in their own words. Thank you N+N for letting us be a part of this beautiful day!

Nathanael and I first became friends in Edmonton during our University years, meeting through a common church, but lost touch after graduation. Over 5 years later we ran into each other coincidentally at an orchestra in Calgary and reconnected over dinner the following week. We learned that we had good chemistry, common values and faith, and complemented each other very well! After 1.5 years of dating, we decided that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together!

We both grew up in Calgary, and both our families and close friends also live here, so this city means a lot to both of us. One of the most important things for our wedding was that our loved ones would be able to celebrate with us together, so we chose Calgary as our wedding location

Our favourite part of the day was after the busy morning and ceremony when we went out together with Dave and Abby to do our photo shoot at Crescent Hill and Confederation Park. It was one of the first times in the day that we got to spend time with one another and not crowds of people, it was our chance to just soak in the moment.

When Nathanael saw Noel in her wedding dress was his favourite detail in the wedding 🙂 And I (Noel) loved the tea ceremonies in the morning. We visited both sides of the family in the morning before the ceremony. Starting the day off surrounded by all our family and bridal party was the best!

One of our church friends had Abby and Dave as their wedding photographers. So we went online and checked out Abby and Dave’s photo portfolio and loved how they are able to capture so many natural expressions and precious moments. Simple yet beautiful!

Looking back, we realized how important it is to get really good rest the evening before the big day. The wedding day is a really long, busy and potentially stressful one. So getting some good rest and sleep the night before will make your special day so much more enjoyable and memorable 🙂
