Courtney and Chris had quite a roller-coaster leading up to their wedding day, due to the unprecedented flooding in Southern Alberta that happened last summer. After a venue change from Canmore to their backyard just 48 hours before the big day, they managed to get it all put together in record time. With their closest friends, family and their sweet dog by their side they braved it all (including a last-minute rain storm) and had a truly beautiful wedding in their own home.

We did another session with them in Canmore after the town had some time to recover from the flood.
The photos below are from one of my most favourite moments. Since they weren’t able to have their first dance on their wedding day, Courtney surprised Chris by bringing their song on her phone and they played it and danced together on the bridge. The sun came out for just the duration of their song and then poked back behind the clouds when it was over. It was perfect.
