Experiencing different places and cultures around the world makes us feel alive. Walking our dog Bowen in the morning makes us happy (really, any time with our dog makes us happy, he may be one of the most spoiled creatures on the face of this planet). Coffee is great, so is craft beer, wine, and scotch. Veggie gardens are rewarding and delicious and in the warmer months if we’re not shooting, camping, or hiking you’ll find us in our backyard garden.
Our creativity flows in the wild places, the overgrown fields, rushing rivers, towering peaks, and dark pine forests. We’d love for you to explore them with us, to venture outside the realm of traditional wedding photography and let your shoes get a little muddy while we create something magical together.
We believe that some of the most important things in life are the connections you have with others and the way you love them. Over the years, we’ve gotten to see how meaningful a quick glance, a breath of anticipation, and a squeeze of a hand can be. It’s these brief moments which tell a deeper story that we look for. We blend these moments with fine art portraits to tell your story in an emotional and beautiful way. We let your wedding day unfold naturally, without staging or controlling things because we want your images to trigger memories of authentic moments. When it comes to portraits of the two of you, we’ll give you lots of direction and keep it relaxed so your personalities and connection with each other can shine through. And don’t worry, just about everyone is nervous about getting their photo taken and we’ve heard “No really, I’m seriously not photogenic” a bunch of times. Trust us, it’s not a problem.
